Application Process
Bethesda Project has a new application process.
Each Bethesda Project Site offers residents the opportunity to thrive in a community setting with a network of peers in recovery from homelessness, addiction, and/or mental illness. Residents are expected to participate in daily chores, community life and case management. Residents sign a lease agreement, respect house rules and are expected to contribute 30% of their monthly income toward rent.
Due to overwhelming demand for housing, Bethesda Project will now prioritize housing applicants based on a pre-application screening process. Please click on the following email link to begin the application screening process. Bethesda Project requests that you provide the following information to begin the pre-application screen:
• Referral Name
• Applicant's Name
• Applicant's Date of Birth
• Applicant's Social Security Number
• Applicant's Relevant Diagnosis (Substance Abuse, Mental Illness, and/or Medical)
• Length of Homelessness
application@bethesdaproject.org
Once you have completed this process you will be contacted if the applicant does or does not qualify for Bethesda Project Housing. If the housing applicant does qualify for Bethesda Project Housing, the referral will receive an email with details and instructions about completing the Bethesda Project online application.
Once the online application is completed it is expected that the referral obtain all needed documents to continue the application process. Please have the following documents prepared to expedite the application process:
• Homeless Third Party Verification on referring agency letterhead
• Proof of income
• PA photo ID
• Social security card
• Birth certificate
As Bethesda Project Housing becomes available, you will be contacted about next steps in the housing application process.
