BETHESDA PROJECT AUCTION RAISES A RECORD $151,685!

Bethesda Project's 13th annual Auction & Party was the most successful ever as 342 guests and 62 corporate and individual sponsors gathered at the beautiful Diamond Club at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies, the 2009 National League Champions.
This year's event, honoring retiring Executive Director Angelo Sgro, raised a record $151,685 thanks to lively bidding during the silent and live auctions, raffles, sponsorships, and donations from friends who could not attend.
The Reverend Bill Golderer of Arch Street Presbyterian Church and Broad Street Ministry and a long-time Bethesda Project partner was this year's Honorary Chairman. Father Domenic Rossi, Bethesda Project founder and incoming executive director thanked Angelo and shared the Bethesda Project vision with attentive guests.
The hottest live auction items included a Phillies package of tickets, a ballpark tour, and dinner with Phillies President Dave Montgomery; vacations to Williamsburg and Yellowstone National Park; and a VIP tour of Turkey Hill Dairy. Popular silent auction items included golf packages, autographed Phillies gear, airline tickets, and guitars signed by Jon Bon Jovi and other artists. Lucky raffle winners won prizes including a diamond and platinum anniversary ring, a diamond and South Sea pearl necklace, and Waterford crystal.
Bethesda Project thanks everyone who participated in making the event a success.
