Each Bethesda Project site offers residents the opportunity to thrive in a community setting with a network of peers in recovery from homelessness, addiction, and/or mental illness. Residents are expected to participate in daily chores, community life and case management. Residents sign a lease agreement, respect house rules and are expected to contribute 30% of their monthly income toward rent.
Due to overwhelming demand for housing, Bethesda Project will now prioritize housing applicants based on a pre-application screening process. Bethesda Project requests that you provide the following information to begin the pre-application screen:
Bethesda Project Pre-Screening Application
Once you have completed the pre-screening process, you will be contacted whether or not the applicant qualifies for Bethesda Project housing. If the housing applicant does qualify for Bethesda Project housing, the referrer will receive an email with details, Philadelphia CoC Forms, and instructions about completing the official Bethesda Project online application.
Once the online application is completed it is expected that the referrer will obtain all needed documents to continue the application process. Please have the following documents prepared to expedite the application process:
- Homeless third party verification on referring agency letterhead
- Proof of income
- PA photo ID
- Social Security card
- Birth certificate
As Bethesda Project housing becomes available, you will be contacted about next steps in the housing application process.
