Signature Event: Cocktails for a Cause with Rex at the Royal

Friday, November 17th, 2 sessions - 6:00pm, and 8:30pm

Join us and our friends at Rex at the Royal for a guided spirit and cocktail tasting and demonstration. The lineup features three spirits for you to sip as you learn not just about the spirits themselves, but also how to taste, how to pair with other flavors, and how to pick something out for your home bar. You'll go home with a gift bag including a cocktail glass, recipe card and spirit-infusion kit, so you can show off what you learned at your next cocktail party!

Community Education Event: HHA Week Lunch & Learn

Wednesday, November 15th, 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Via Zoom

  • All are invited to join our Lunch & Learn presentation and discussion with Bethesda Project program staff, Kharisma Goldston and Stephen Kotch surrounding their takeaways from the National Alliance to End Homelessness Conference which took place this past July in Washington, DC. The conference is one of the largest opportunities for service providers, system leaders, advocates, and others to gather and share ideas. Kharisma, Director of Shelter, and Stephen, Program Coordinator at Bethesda Project My Brother’s House, were selected to attend the conference as a professional development opportunity. The conversation will focus on a recap of what they learned from the conference, in particular, how best to assist aging populations. There will be time for thoughtful group discussion and questions.

  • In the spirit of the season, our sites will be participating in a friendly cooking competition! Each site will be assigned a fall-themed ingredient and then given a month to come up with a recipe and make the dish that will be shared the day of the cook-off.
