2022 Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week

NOVEMBER 12TH - 20th, 2022

Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week is an annual program bringing people together across the country to draw attention to issues surrounding hunger and homelessness. In 2022, Bethesda Project will recognize this week and raise awareness for its mission and accomplishments in homeless services in Philadelphia.

ALL MONTH:

A Taste of Bethesda Project: Community cookbook

Home is not just a place, but a feeling. Home is not just a building, a city, or a country – but a sense of belonging. Cultivating this sense of home amongst our guests and residents is incredibly important here at Bethesda Project.

A large part of this is providing a meal. Whether it is a meal cooked on site or donated, food plays a large part in how we can assist those who come to us. No matter what’s on the table, mealtime brings us all together for a moment of respite and relaxation.

Leading up to Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week we reached out to the Philadelphia community and with an ask: to provide us with a recipe for a dish that reminds you of home. Philadelphians delivered. It is with pride and joy that we are able to share with you A Taste of Bethesda Project: Community Cookbook.

This collection of recipes is being sold as a fundraiser, 100% of proceeds supporting our essential services.
