"More than Bad Things Happen in Philadelphia" Virtual Quizzo

More than bad things happen in Philadelphia, according to Quizzo Master and Young Professional Advisory Board (YPAB) Member Leo Vaccaro. Quizzo is one of those things that happen in Philadelphia - one thing that brings excitement, joy, and potentially a $100 Amazon gift card. On November 20, 2020, join Bethesda Project's YPAB for an evening of fun, trivia, and charity. Participants will register individually, and form teams that you'll share with the Quizzo Master the day of the event. A few days prior to the event, a Bethesda Project staff member will send each participant a link to the Quizzo Zoom. Teams will connect through individual Zoom chats and/or video calls. You don't need to have a team prior to signing up and can be paired with individuals the day of the event.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Bethesda Project, a local nonprofit organization that provides emergency shelter, permanent housing, and case management to over 1,400 individual experiencing homelessness each year. Quizzo Master: Leo Vaccaro

Leo Vaccaro is a local history teacher, quizzo aficionado, and motivational speaker. In fact, he’s been down in our basement drinking coffee for about the last four hours, and he should be all ready to go on Friday, November 20. Asked about how the event will be organized, Vaccaro said that "after running zoom classes last semester in particular, I feel especially qualified to run a zoom charity quizzo, in fact, I was born in it, molded by it. And don't cheat, if you think darkness is your ally: you merely adopted the dark. As a teacher for 10 years, I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding!"
