Hope Belongs Here

Giving Tuesday began in 2012 as a simple idea and has grown into an international effort to do good in the world. As a supporter of Bethesda Project, we appreciate the generosity you have shown us over the years. We ask you to join us this Giving Tuesday to show the Philadelphia community - even the world - how much good we can do.

Each year, Bethesda Project provides emergency shelter, housing, and supportive services for more than 1,000 individuals experiencing homelessness. As the number of people without homes continues to rise, your support is more critical than ever. In a year filled with so much uncertainty for the most vulnerable in our community, your generosity helps ensure that those we serve have stability, safety, and hope.

Why Bethesda Project this Giving Tuesday

Bethesda Project has been a pillar in the community we serve and a beacon since 1979. We provide emergency shelter, housing, and supportive services to thousands of individuals experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia. Over the decades, Bethesda Project has seen that lasting stability is built through trust, consistency, and relationships.

Rooted in the six values of social work, Bethesda Project seeks to meet individuals' needs where they are and as they need. When guests and residents walk through our doors, they experience a safe environment—and, most importantly, a home where they can stabilize, regain their dignity and self-worth, and find community.

Thanks to a generous $10,000 matching gift from Dick Canel, every dollar you give on December 1st will go twice as far.
